This antique map, created in 1665, is titled ‘Argow cum parte merid Zvrichgow’, which translates to ‘Argovia with part of Southern Zurich’. The country was mostly mountainous, with agriculture and trade being the primary sources of income. The map shows the central region of Switzerland, including the areas of Sarnen, Luzern, and Horw, and also shows the bordering country of Italy. It provides a glimpse into the geography and layout of the region during this time period.
