In the early 17th century, Ukraine was a diverse region with a mix of different cultures and languages. It was ruled by different powers, including the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Ottoman Empire, and the Crimean Khanate. The map shows the Dnieper and Nieper Rivers, which were important trade routes for the region, as well as the surrounding areas, including Moldova.
