The antique map created in 1665 titled ‘India quae Orientalis dicitur’ depicts the vast and intricate landscape of India, which was known as the ‘East’ during that time. Malaysia, located centrally on the map, was a diverse and richly cultured region in the early 17th century. The country was home to various ethnic groups and was known for its thriving trade industry, with ports like Singapore serving as key hubs for maritime commerce. To the north, Malaysia shared borders with Vietnam and Cambodia, while the Philippines lay to the east. Kuala Lumpur, located in the central region of Malaysia, was a bustling city even back then, with a vibrant mix of cultures and traditions. Ho Chi Minh City, located to the north of Malaysia, was also an important trading port during this time.

Giclée Print Feedback:

Absolutely stellar service! Whilst I was considering my purchase Callum was extremely helpful and friendly, taking the time to actually talk to me rather than keep to business – how refreshing and genuine! I made my purchase quite late in the evening and was surprised to receive notification that it had been dispatched the following day! Lo and behold, I received the print within 48 hours – a remarkably quick turnaround!

Certainly no need to worry about Christmas delivery times! As for the print I bought – perfect… exceptional quality, with fine detail captured without fault. It’s on nice thick paper and packaged with care. I’ll definitely be back for more – I’ve already eyed up my next one!
